Abstract: Recently, the notion of a super metric space was introduced by Karapınar and Khojasteh (Filomat, 36(10), pp.3545-3549, 2022), which is a generalization of usual metric spaces. In this work, we have revisited some famous fixed point results to obtain some new fixed point results in the context of super metric spaces. We have found some mistakes in some of the published papers which we have corrected in this paper. Examples are given to support our new findings along with an application in fractional thermostat model.

Key Words and Phrases: \(\alpha\)-admissible mapping, super metric space, Geraghty contraction, P-contraction, Rhoades open question, fractional thermostat model.
