Fixed Point Theory, Volume 21, No. 2, 2020, 413-426, July 1st, 2020 DOI: 10.24193/fpt-ro.2020.2.29 Authors: Pinya Ardsalee and Satit Saejung Abstract: We prove that two common best proximity point theorems proved by Sadiq Basha [4] and by Mongkolkeha and Kumam [10] can be regarded as a direct consequence of Browder's fixed point theorem [5]. Moreover, the assumptions imposed in their results can be relaxed. We also present some supplementary results and some examples. Key Words and Phrases: Common best proximity point, common fixed point, metric space. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 47H10, 47H09. Published on-line: July 1st, 2020.
